Are mobile phones allowed inside Tirumala temple?
No. Mobile phones, cameras and all electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the temple. Free locker facilities are available to deposit them before darshan, including at Varaha Swamy temple and other entry points.
Is a smart watch allowed in Tirumala?
No. Smart watches are treated as electronic gadgets and are not allowed inside the temple. A normal analog/digital wristwatch (without smart features) is fine. Deposit smart watches in the free lockers before joining the queue.
Are mobiles allowed at Varaha Swamy temple in Tirumala?
No. The same rules apply across the Tirumala complex, including Sri Varaha Swamy temple โ mobiles, cameras and smart watches are not permitted. Use the free deposit/locker centres before darshan.

A hair dryer cannot be carried into the temple queue โ only essential items are allowed inside the temple premises. However, there is no ban on hair dryers in Tirumala; you can freely use one in your hotel room or TTD cottage. The restriction applies only inside the temple, not in your accommodation.
Is there a dress code for Tirumala temple?
Yes. Men should wear dhoti, kurta-pajama, or formal pants with a shirt. Women should wear a saree, salwar kameez, or half-saree. Western clothes like shorts and sleeveless tops are not allowed.
