Tirumala Festival Dates, 2026โ€“2027

These are the days Tirumala gets busiest. Every date below was checked against two independent published sources before it went on this page. Hindu festival dates move against the English calendar every year, and 2026 carries an Adhika Masam โ€” an extra lunar month โ€” which is why Tirumala holds two Brahmotsavams this year instead of one. Dates cannot be worked out with a formula, so anything past April 2027 is not listed here rather than guessed. Always confirm with TTD before you book.

Tirumala festival dates and expected crowd levels
DateFestivalExpected crowdWhat to know

15 Sep โ€“ 23 Sep 2026 Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavam Extreme Nine days. Garuda Seva on the fifth day draws the single largest crowd of the year.
2 Oct 2026 Gandhi Jayanti High Single day.
12 Oct โ€“ 20 Oct 2026 Navaratri Brahmotsavam Extreme 2026 has an Adhika Masam, so Tirumala holds Brahmotsavam twice this year.
20 Oct 2026 Vijayadashami Extreme Single day.
8 Nov 2026 Deepavali Extreme Single day.
24 Nov 2026 Karthika Purnima High Single day.

26 Jan 2027 Republic Day High Single day.
13 Feb 2027 Ratha Saptami Extreme All vahana sevas in a single day. One of the heaviest footfall days at Tirumala.
6 Mar 2027 Maha Shivaratri High Single day.

Planning around the crowd

An โ€œextremeโ€ day at Tirumala means Sarva Darshan queues measured in tens of hours and compartments full well before dawn. If your dates are flexible, a plain Tuesday or Wednesday outside these windows is the single biggest thing you can do to shorten your wait. If your dates are not flexible, book your room early โ€” homestays around Alipiri and the railway station fill first on festival weekends. You can check availability across our verified homestays, estimate your wait with the queue estimator, or read the full darshan guide.
