โ Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best seva for first-time visitors?
For first-time visitors, we recommend Suprabhatam Seva (โน300) or Thomala Seva (โน300). These sevas allow you to witness the deity being awakened and adorned, providing a deeply spiritual experience. They also include darshan, so you don't need separate darshan tickets.
Do all sevas include darshan?
Yes, all Arjitha Sevas include darshan of Lord Venkateswara. After the seva, devotees are escorted through a special queue for darshan. The darshan is usually quicker (30-60 minutes) compared to regular darshan queues.
How far in advance can I book sevas?
TTD releases seva quota approximately 3 months in advance, usually around the 18th-22nd of each month. Popular sevas like Suprabhatam, Thomala, and Archana get booked within minutes of release. We recommend setting reminders and being ready exactly at the release time (usually 10 AM).
What should I wear for sevas?
Traditional dress is mandatory for all sevas. Men: Dhoti and Uttariyam (upper cloth) or Kurta-Pajama. Women: Saree or Churidar with dupatta. Jeans, T-shirts, and Western wear are not allowed. Some sevas may have specific color requirements.
Can I cancel or reschedule a booked seva?
TTD does not allow cancellation or rescheduling of seva tickets. The amount paid is non-refundable. If you cannot attend, the seva ticket becomes void. Hence, book only after confirming your travel plans.
How many people can participate in one seva booking?
It varies by seva. Most sevas allow 1-2 persons per ticket. Kalyanotsavam allows up to 2 couples (4 persons). Check specific seva details for participant limits. Children below 12 years are usually allowed free.
